11250I had an insight after The Beauty of Aging event sponsored by @esteelauderuk and @harrodsbeauty . Although I never thought much about ageing to be honest I did after that event. It got me reflecting on inner beauty and how all of our experiences in life, the good and the less good create our innermost being. Beauty is uniqueness and that special something that God gave each and every individual when created and age only enhances beauty it does not detract from it. I feel so grateful that @charlottetilbury @nikki_makeup and @sofiatilbury believed in me when I resumed my modelling career in 2020. They made me feel seen and appreciated for who I am and I will never forget that. Charlotte Tilbury was the first brand that I know of that proudly celebrated the beauty of every woman from every background regardless of age. Just to clarify I am so happy to be modelling again and feel blessed to be able to model at this time in my life. This post is about how age plus experience equates to another kind of beauty that enhances external beauty. I love aesthetics whether an old master painting, vintage fashion, a fine piece of jewelry, classic cars, beautiful architecture and all forms of art. In admiring design and these beautiful works I am curious to know about how they were created and to know more about the artist. The same applies to a model. A model is not just beautiful externally, but is someone with their own individuality, experiences and ability to create. An experienced actor does not refer to him/herself as a mature actor, an experienced painter does not refer to him/herself as a mature artist, nor does an experienced author or singer refer to themselves as mature authors and mature singers. Their combination of life experiences enhance their craft and beauty as artists. An experienced model is a model from now on in my book. I shall never refer to myself as a mature model ever again!!! 8920Love Your Age⭐️ What an outstanding expression of female fortitude this afternoon at the exclusive event “The Beauty of Aging” by Estée Lauder held at Harrods. The atmosphere was explosive with a sense of reverence for the beauty of all women on their aging journey. Congratulations and a big thank you to @esteelauder for being a forerunner of the Pro- Ageing Beauty Movement. Feeling honoured to be a part of this movement over the last years as a mature model. I could not imagine a greater woman than the iconic @paulinaporizkova Eternal supermodel, actor, author and pro-aging activist to be the Global Brand Ambassador @esteelauder. She is a timeless beauty and I remember her from the 80s when I modelled and she was the face of Estée Lauder. I was delighted to meet her in person today. Her beauty and warmth shines through her eyes and when you meet her you feel like you have known her for years. She is so intelligent, so charismatic,so genuine and is relatable to any woman of any age. The event “The Beauty of Ageing” was comprised of top beauty experts. The discussion was brilliantly moderated by Beauty Director @sarahjossel and on the panel were Dr Mark Lachs, @funmifetto and Jo Good @middleagedminx and @paulinaporizkov The overriding consensus was that every woman should love her own unique beauty. Dr Lachs said, “ Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and the beholder is you” Paulina and Funmi spoke about there being too much power attached to the concept of beauty. That ageing is still seen as something we need to fight to “prevent” or “fix” Loved that Jo Good feels we should take excellent care of ourselves and spend time living joyfully and frolicking! To me Ageing Beauty is the sum of all of our experiences, struggles, lessons learned, discoveries and ultimately acceptance of our own uniqueness which is God’s creation. There’s no definition to describe beauty. You can find beauty everywhere, in everything and everyone if only you choose to see. 338What a treat it was to receive this Collection Box from the Gorgeous Anastasia Beverly Hills. The box contained an assortment of: Magic Touch Blush Trios Smooth Blur Contours Powder Bronzers All in fabulous shades! I usually don’t wear blush or cheekbone contour, but after trying these I will definitely continue and make it a permanent part of my makeup routine. I loved them! The smooth and creamy contour sticks are in cool shades and easily glide on the skin as does the Magic Touch Blush Trio. Having fair skin I used the blush in the pretty pink shade and mixed the 3 shades of pink and it’s just that so pretty! You can use a brush for the blush, but I simply applied it with my finger over the contour and then blended. I was really impressed at how versatile these pieces are. You can also apply the contour to the jawline and bridge of the nose for added contour which I didn’t do as well as applying the blush trio to the lips.
