23528Introducing ceramics diploma artist Arabella Greenhill @arabellagreenhill “My porcelain and stoneware thrown vessels explore human fragility. The work suggests containment and security, yet the delicate and torn rims symbolise the emotional, physical and mental scars we carry. Each vessel represents an individual, with the tears and marks within the clay and contrasting glazes inviting reflection on resilience and personal history. Central to my process is thinking about negative space and the relationship between the pieces, whether they are part of a group, a family or stand alone, and the quiet dialogue between each vessel. Throughout my thirty-five-year career in fashion magazines, storytelling and editing have always been at the heart of my creative process, explored through form, narrative, colour and texture. This foundation now deeply informs my ceramic practice. My work is also influenced by my own family dynamics, history and layered memories”.
