Who remembers the richest man of the 20th century? We don’t care and we forgot. But art is here forever and we remember our exceptional talents like musicians, painters, writers and photographers .

We shot that editorial in the eighties with a vintage 40ies look in Naples, Italy for @vogueitalia . We had a guide who protected us from the mafia over there. Naples was still very dangerous at that period. A few months before us members of a photo crew got killed while taking pictures, because they didn’t “pay” La Comorra. When people think being a model is a “cool” job 🧐

23946Thank you @bandar_aks for posting that pic of the eighties when I walked the shows for Azzedine Alaia @fondationazzedinealaia @maisonalaia with all the super models like @gailelliottofficial @lindaspierings @stephanieseymour and many others. Azzedine was such a kind and loving man. He would cook for us at rue de Bellechasse, when we walked 5 shows a day for him. His showroom/appartement was to small to receive everybody at the same time. Every single fashion editor wanted to see his shows. Azzedine payed us with his clothes and he was the only couturier from whom we accepted that deal. Super Model of the eighties were a living publicity by wearing his clothes in private life. I still have a few pieces , like the leather jackets. The quality is just amazing , still perfect after all those years. Thank you @monsieur.azzedinealaia . We will never forget you.
